After our brainstorm with the Kindergartens, our class took responsibility for finding out more about adopting or helping animals. A few days later, I received the World Wildlife Foundation email newsletter which contained a link to their website, which led us to discover their symbolic adoption program. My students were thrilled with all of the animals they could potentially help! The only drawback was that we needed $40.00 to adopt an animal, so I explained what “fundraising” meant and suggested that they come up with some ideas for raising $40.00. I was REALLY proud of the amazing ideas that my students generated. We can’t wait to get started!
